About Jason Claude Odom

Raised in Tallahassee, Florida, Jason Claude Odom achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1985. He graduated from Florida State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, complemented by minors in Military Science and Religion. In May 1991, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army.

Mr. Odom earned his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1994. That same year, he was licensed to practice in Georgia and Florida. In October 1994, he began active duty as an Army JAGC officer. By February 1995, he completed the Airborne Basic School at Ft. Benning, GA, and was stationed at Ft. Rucker, AL. He was promoted to Captain in March 1995 and completed Air Assault School in September 1995. By June 1997, he was named Senior Trial Defense Counsel at Ft. Rucker, AL, and honorably discharged as a Captain on December 31, 1999.

Transitioning to civilian law, Mr. Odom started his legal career in Atlanta, Georgia, with Hawkins & Parnell, LLP in 2000. In May 2001, he joined the New York firm of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman, LLP, working in their Atlanta office. He was admitted to practice in Texas in 2002 and Alabama in 2007.

In October 2007, Mr. Odom moved his practice to Anniston, Alabama, where he currently operates as a solo practitioner under "The Law Office of Jason C. Odom, LLC" located at 110 East 15th Street, Anniston, AL. He has been married to Anniston native Janet W. since 2002.
