Austin Burdick

Austin Burdick began his academic journey at the University of Montevallo, where he earned a degree in History. He pursued his legal education at the Birmingham School of Law, attending night classes while working full-time to support his family. Austin graduated in the top third of his class.

During law school, Austin gained significant experience as a trial consultant with Merrill Law Solutions. In this role, he worked on notable cases, including the high-profile Richard Scrushy v. HealthSouth suit. After four years, he transitioned to private practice with a local law firm, where he further honed his legal skills.

Austin eventually established the Burdick Law Firm, which grew and led to the formation of Scozzaro, Burdick & Smith, PLLC. His legal practice is distinguished by an impressive record in both trial and appellate courts. Austin's reported decisions include Paul Lowe v. Robert Rogers, 72 So. 3d 1234 (Ala. Civ. App. February 25, 2011), and M.A.J. v. S.B., 73 So. 3d 1287 (Ala. Civ. June 24, 2011).

An active member of the legal community, Austin is affiliated with the Alabama Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, and Bessemer Bar Association. He holds licenses to practice in all three Federal District Courts in Alabama and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
