Al Vance

Al Vance leads Vance Dispute Resolution, PC, as its founder and managing partner, leveraging more than twenty years of legal experience to provide outstanding arbitration and mediation services. Previously, as a corporate attorney, Al honed his skills in strategic problem-solving, mediation, litigation, leadership development, risk reduction, and negotiations. He was instrumental in initiating diversity and inclusion efforts within the company.

Al's legal career began in 2000 with prestigious litigation work in Birmingham, Alabama, eventually rising to a partnership role. During his private practice, he developed expertise in employment, product liability, and professional liability, representing clients in state and federal courts in Alabama and Georgia. Additionally, Al has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama School of Law, focusing on strategic problem-solving, mediation, and arbitration.

He is registered with prominent organizations such as the American Arbitration Association, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution, the Alabama State Court Mediator Roster, and the ADR Panel of Neutrals for the Northern District of Alabama. In 2023, Al was appointed as a Hearing Officer for the Alabama State Bar's Disciplinary Board and holds an AV Preeminent Martindale Hubbell Rating.
