About Mr. David Benton King
David Benton King graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2009, earning a degree in political science with a minor in history. He pursued his legal education at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, where he emphasized trial skills and advocacy to prepare for litigation. During his first year, David became a semifinalist in a trial competition and was on the Dean’s List in Fall 2009 and 2010.
While at Cumberland, David actively participated in the Trial Advocacy Board and served as Director for the Law School’s client counseling competition from 2011 to 2012. He also met his wife, a North Alabama native, and they married in May 2011. David earned his law degree in December 2011 and passed the Alabama bar exam in April 2012.
In November 2012, David began his practice at Williams, Driskill, Huffstutler, & King, LLC in Etowah County. He holds a Distinguished Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the respect of peers and judges. Since joining the firm, David has focused on appellate courts, juvenile matters, and family law.
David is admitted to practice law in Alabama and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama since January 2013.
