Ernest Cory

Ernest Cory, known as Ernie, has dedicated more than four decades to practicing law, specializing in dangerous drugs, defective medical devices, product liability, mass torts, and class actions. As the founding principal of Cory Watson, his legal career began locally with his first jury trial in Gadsden, Alabama, just 11 months after becoming legal counsel. Throughout his career, Ernie has advocated for individuals across the United States, as well as in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Ernie is nationally recognized for his ability to challenge corporate America, often being appointed as lead counsel in high-profile complex litigation, mass torts, and class actions. His commitment to client trust and hard work has been the cornerstone of his practice, helping thousands of people throughout Alabama. These principles continue to guide Cory Watson Attorneys, a firm he established over two decades ago.

Under Ernie's leadership, the legal team at Cory Watson has served more than 150,000 families, recovering over $3 billion in settlements and verdicts.
