David Slade

During his early career, David Slade developed a passion for the law while working as a trial assistant in the hormone therapy litigation, In re: Prempro Products Liability Litigation, Case No. MDL 1507. This experience led him to pursue a legal education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where he co-founded the Arkansas Journal of Social Change and Public Service with Brandon Haubert. As Editor-in-Chief, David organized the journal's inaugural symposium and spearheaded various community engagement initiatives, publishing works from global authors in its first year.

At wh Law, David's primary focus is on consumer protection, emphasizing data privacy, data security, and antitrust issues within the tech industry. Beyond litigation, he has been instrumental in organizing a cyber safety training summit for Arkansas law enforcement and victim assistance professionals, in partnership with the National Organization of Victim Assistance (NOVA). He has also established specialized groups aimed at addressing the preemptive impacts of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.

David actively contributes to the legal community through his involvement with the Volunteers Organization, Center for Arkansas Legal Services (VOCALS), where he supports pro bono advocacy. He also serves on the board of the Center for Arkansas Legal Services (CALS). His expertise is recognized through his presentations at CLEs and professional gatherings, discussing topics such as data breach litigation, the duties of local counsel, and developments in Section 230 law.
