David Rawls

David Rawls was born on September 4, 1949, in Glendale, California. He pursued his legal education at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law, graduating in 1987. That same year, he was admitted to the Arkansas Bar, followed by the Texas Bar in 1988. David is authorized to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, as well as the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

David's practice is primarily focused on Social Security Disability law, where he adeptly represents claimants through various stages of the appeals process. His legal acumen was recognized early in his career when he became a Law Journal Board Member, a distinction typically reserved for those in the top 10% of their class.

Beyond his legal career, David is a passionate poet, philosopher, and musician. His love for philosophy and symbolic logic was evident during his undergraduate studies, where he also pursued additional coursework in mathematics and psychological statistics. He even taught a psychology statistics lab at UALR.

David's musical talents are noteworthy; he has taught folk instruments such as the banjo, dulcimer, and guitar through private lessons and continuing education courses at UALR. He co-published a book of dulcimer tunes and often shares his musical skills with colleagues on special occasions.

From a young age, David exhibited a keen interest in understanding how systems work, a curiosity that naturally extended to his legal studies. His dedication to unraveling complex laws and regulations is central to his success in advocating for Social Security claimants.
