Richard Michael Wilner

Richard M. Wilner is a founding member of Wilner & O’Reilly, APLC, recognized as a Board Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California. His distinguished career is highlighted by his Martindale-Hubbell AV Rating, reflecting the highest standards of legal and ethical excellence, and his consistent recognition as a Super Lawyer since 2007.

Mr. Wilner is renowned for his expertise in advising Fortune 500 companies, small and mid-sized businesses, and individuals of extraordinary ability in the arts, athletics, and sciences on complex U.S. immigration matters. His commitment to public service is evident through his role as a Commissioner on the State Bar of California’s Immigration and Nationality Law Advisory Commission.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Wilner serves as the vice-chair of the Orange County Bar Association’s immigration law section and is a board member of the Orange County Jewish Bar Association. He dedicates his time to pro bono work, assisting active-duty soldiers from the U.S. Armed Forces with their immigration needs, and acts as the Military Liaison for the Southern California Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

A Los Angeles native, Mr. Wilner holds a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Transnational Business Practice from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, and the University of Salzburg, Austria. He also earned a Certificate in International Law from the National University of Singapore and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Religious Studies from the University of California in 1992.
