Joseph A. Stolz

Joseph A. Stolz is a dedicated associate in the Labor & Employment Group at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP, where he provides comprehensive representation for employers across a broad spectrum of employment law and business matters. His practice encompasses handling intricate litigation cases, conducting thorough workplace investigations, and effectively resolving disputes.

Joseph has a proven track record in employment and business litigation, having served as second chair in two trials that secured over $1 million in damages. He has also achieved favorable outcomes in numerous mediations. His expertise includes drafting and opposing more than a dozen summary judgment motions, with a notable success rate, as well as preparing successful appellate briefs and presenting arguments before the California Court of Appeal.

In managing all phases of litigation, Joseph excels in complex discovery and e-discovery, particularly in high-volume document cases. He is committed to advancing his clients' interests, whether advising on complex workplace issues or advocating in court. Before joining JMBM, Joseph practiced at a boutique litigation firm, representing corporate clients like Santé Health System, Inc., where he secured multimillion-dollar recoveries and mitigated significant liabilities. He also defended high-level employees in discrimination and wrongful termination cases.

Joseph graduated cum laude from Loyola Law School, where he was recognized as a Sayre Macneil Scholar, a finalist in the Scott Moot Court Competition, and a volunteer member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board.
