James Rudolph Jones Jr

Born in Virginia, James Rudolph Jones Jr. has a diverse international background, having attended Nurnberg American High School in Germany and George C. Marshall Regional High School in Turkey. He earned his B.A. in International Relations from the University of Arizona in 1975 and a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 1979, where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta litigation fraternity.

After receiving Rule 9 Limited Admission to Practice in Washington State in 1979, James was admitted to the California Bar in 1980. The following year, he gained admission to practice before the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit.

James has held roles such as Parliamentarian for NASBA and past delegate for the ABA. He has also served as an arbitrator for the Orange County Superior Court. His legal career began as a public defender, later transitioning to insurance defense counsel, and since 1992, he has focused on family law, adoptions, and probate.

He is an active member of the Loved Ones Law section of the Orange County Bar Association and the family law section of the California State Bar Association.
