Andrew Huynh Tran

Andrew Huynh Tran is a dedicated family law attorney based in Irvine, California. He began his academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine, where he also worked as a research assistant for distinguished professors specializing in sociology of law and corporate crime.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Andrew gained valuable experience as a law clerk at a Bankruptcy and Taxation law office in Northern California. He then pursued his legal education at Whittier Law School, where he excelled in oral advocacy, securing a runner-up position in the Susan E. McGuigan Oral Advocacy Competition. During his time at Whittier, he actively participated in the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and achieved high grades in household law and community property law classes.

While still in law school, Andrew interned at a family law practice in Santa Ana, further honing his skills. After obtaining his Juris Doctorate, he volunteered at the Domestic Violence Restraining Order Clinic in Chula Vista, offering pro bono assistance to individuals involved in domestic violence disputes. As he prepared for the California State Bar, he worked as a law clerk at Hargreaves & Taylor, LLP, a renowned family law firm in downtown San Diego, contributing to trial preparations and legal strategy.

Upon passing the bar in February 2014, Andrew embarked on a career in various law firms throughout Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Diego County, gaining comprehensive experience in all aspects of family law. His areas of expertise include dissolution of marriage, legal separation, custody and visitation, grandparent visitation, move-away requests, child and spousal support, support arrears, pre-nuptial agreements, domestic violence restraining orders, and post-judgment modifications.
