Bailey Fowler Means

Bailey K.F. Means has been dedicated to the field of criminal law since her first year at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During her time at Loyola, she gained invaluable experience interning at public defender's offices and the ACLU, as well as working as a research assistant for three criminal law professors.

Upon graduating, Bailey served as a Deputy Public Defender in Ventura County for 30 years. In just three years there, she led the office in taking cases to trial. Her commitment to each unique case and client is matched by her aggressive litigation skills.

Bailey has managed over a thousand criminal cases, from minor code violations to serious felony gang charges. She is particularly invested in motion practice, having resolved hundreds of criminal motions. Her passion for Fourth Amendment rights is evident, with recent successes in overturning denied motions to suppress on appeal.

In 2016, Bailey was recognized by the Ventura County Criminal Defense Bar Association with an award for Outstanding Performance by a New Counsel.

Bailey earned two bachelor's degrees from the University of California, Irvine, in Political Science and Criminology, Law & Society. Her education in criminology informs her client-centered approach and holistic practice.

Outside of her legal work, Bailey enjoys spending time with her husband and two rescue pit bulls. She also has a passion for running, NFL football, craft beer, and history.
