Alan James Romero

Alan James Romero, a 2020 CAALA Trial Lawyer of the Year Finalist, leads Romero Law, APC as its principal and chief trial attorney. Among his significant achievements is a landmark $8.1MM jury verdict in a Fair Employment and Housing case involving police corruption within the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He also secured a $3.05MM jury verdict for STARZ Home Entertainment, LLC, concerning television distribution rights, and a $2.76MM judgment for Anchor Bay Entertainment, LLC, in a motion picture-related fraud case. Additionally, Mr. Romero achieved a $1.5MM settlement in a medical malpractice case, resulting in a published appellate decision that significantly altered California law regarding Medi-Cal liens against minors.

Mr. Romero's professional excellence is recognized with an "AV Preeminent" rating by Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting his high standards in litigation, communication, and ethics. Mr. Romero earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University in Los Angeles, entering the Early Entrance Program at just fifteen. He completed his Juris Doctor through the accelerated two-year SCALE program at Southwestern Law School. Additionally, he is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and serves as a Director-at-Large for the alumni associations of both Southwestern Law School and California State University, Los Angeles. Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Romero is a fourth-generation Angeleno.
