Yitz E. Weiss

Yitz E. Weiss brings over a decade of expertise in Employment Law, focusing on cases involving unpaid wages, overtime claims, discrimination, harassment, FEHA, the Unequal Pay Act, wrongful termination, and sexual assault. He guides clients from the initial stages of a lawsuit through trial and appeals, and frequently represents them in mediations, binding arbitrations, and significant trials.

Yitz graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Yeshiva University and earned a Degree of Rabbinic Ordination before attending Southwestern University School of Law. At Southwestern, he served as Associate Editor of the Southwestern Law Review and graduated in 2006, ranking in the top 10% of his class.

Upon obtaining his Juris Doctorate and gaining admission to the California State Bar in 2006, Yitz began his legal career at Kaplan Lee LLP. His exemplary work led to his promotion to partner, and the firm was subsequently renamed Kaplan Weiss LLP.

Yitz's legal acumen has been recognized with several honors, including being named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2015 and 2016. He has also received the Clients’ Choice Award from Avvo and has been recognized as a Client Champion - Silver by Martindale-Hubbell.

In addition to his practice, Yitz is an active speaker on topics such as the intersection of civil and religious law in business and constitutional contexts. He also teaches courses in law, ethics, and religion.
