Babak Akhlaghi

Babak Akhlaghi serves as the Managing Director of NovoTech Patent Law Firm in Washington, D.C., where he provides extensive patent services to clients both in the U.S. and internationally. As a registered patent attorney, his expertise encompasses patent preparation and prosecution, particularly in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science. Technologies he focuses on include AI, machine learning, medical devices, semiconductors, and mobile applications.

In addition to his legal practice, Babak is a co-author of the Patent Applications Handbook, an annually updated resource published by West Publications, which is highly regarded among industry professionals. His academic contributions include teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, where he educates students on the intersection of entrepreneurship and intellectual property law.
