Melanie K Corrin

Melanie K. Corrin graduated from the New England School of Law in 2002 and has since established herself as a leading attorney in Immigration Law. She plays an active role in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), serving on the Colorado Chapter Executive Committee since 2008. Currently, she is a member of both the AILA National Nebraska Service Center Liaison Committee and the Distance Learning Committee.

In addition to her AILA involvement, Ms. Corrin is on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Women’s Bar Association and contributes to the Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee. Her expertise is frequently showcased at both local and national levels through her speaking engagements on immigration topics.

Ms. Corrin's previous roles include acting as the AILA Colorado Liaison for Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) from 2006 to 2007 and chairing the AILA Colorado New Members Division from 2007 to 2008. She has consistently advocated for clients before entities such as the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Administrative Appeals Office, and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.

Her academic background includes a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida, where she was a member of Phi Sigma Alpha, the national Political Science Honor Society, with a focus on international law and politics. During her undergraduate studies, she interned with the Washington Center, serving Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen for three months.

While attending law school, Ms. Corrin was a Senior Editor for the New England Journal of International and Comparative Law. She also gained international experience by studying at the National University of Ireland in Galway, participating in a Human Rights Symposium, and working as a law clerk at Flynn & Clark, P.C.
