Stephen H. Cook

Stephen H. Cook began his legal career after earning his J.D. from the University of Colorado in 1975. He initially worked as an associate at the personal injury firm Bragg & Dubofsky, gaining valuable experience. In 1978, he established his own practice, where he has been a dedicated advocate for his Colorado community for over four decades.

Mr. Cook's legal expertise is highlighted by his success in procuring substantial settlements and judgments for his clients. Notably, in 1993, he achieved the largest toxic tort jury verdict in Colorado at that time, securing over $3,000,000, including interest and punitive damages, against Louisiana Pacific Corporation.

Beyond his legal accomplishments, Mr. Cook is deeply committed to community service. He has served on the boards of local non-profits, including Mapletree School, which supports emotionally and learning-disabled toddlers, and Parenting Place, which provides resources for new families. His passion for youth sports led him to coach YMCA and club basketball.

Mr. Cook actively supports various community initiatives, sponsoring fundraising events for Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, Community Foodshare, and Parenting Place. He also contributes to the capital campaign for Clinica Compesina, a healthcare service for low-income families, where one of the exam rooms is named after his firm.
