Elizabeth Wang

Elizabeth Wang is a seasoned attorney practicing from Loevy & Loevy's Boulder office, where she litigates civil rights and post-conviction cases nationwide, including in Colorado and Illinois. Since joining the firm in 2008, she has been committed to advocating for individuals wrongfully convicted, maliciously prosecuted, or subjected to police brutality. Her practice also addresses violations of First Amendment rights and systemic civil rights abuses stemming from municipal and county policy failures.

Ms. Wang has extensive trial experience, having served as lead trial counsel in federal jury cases and argued before the Seventh Circuit. She has conducted evidentiary hearings for post-conviction clients, demonstrating her deep expertise in habeas corpus proceedings. Her academic contributions include serving as a Lecturer in Law for The Exoneration Project at the University of Chicago Law School from 2010 to 2012.

Before joining Loevy & Loevy, Ms. Wang clerked for the Honorable Harry D. Leinenweber at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and for the Honorable Betty B. Fletcher at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Her early career included a Legal Fellowship at the American Civil Liberties Union Drug Law Reform Project, where she represented South Asian convenience store owners targeted by law enforcement in Georgia.

Ms. Wang is a 2005 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, where she was actively involved in the Civil Rights and Police Accountability Project and served as President of the Chicago Law Foundation.
