J KEITH KILLIAN

J Keith Killian has been practicing law for over 25 years in Grand Junction, Colorado, with Killian, Davis, & Richter, PC. He is a past president and current board member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Keith is also a Leaders Forum Member of the American Association for Justice.

His professional affiliations include membership in the Legislative Policy Committee of the Colorado Bar Association, the Plaintiff’s Employment Law Association, the National Employment Law Association, and the Faculty of Federal Advocates. Keith served as a Judge Advocate General in the U.S. Air Force and as a Colorado public defender before founding his own practice in 1991.

In 1994, Keith was designated an Advocate by the National College of Advocacy. He has been consistently recognized for his excellence, being named among the top 5 percent of his profession by the Colorado Bar Fellows. From 2007 to 2016, he was acknowledged as a Colorado Super Lawyer by Denver’s Super Lawyer magazine. Additionally, from 2011 to 2016, he was selected as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers Association and in 2014, as a Top 10 lawyer by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys.

In 2015, Keith achieved the status of Diplomate of the National College of Advocacy. Notably, in 2012, he and Damon Davis were finalists for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association’s Case of the Year award for their work on Collard v. Vista Paving Corp.

Keith has extensive experience assisting families affected by mining collisions, chemical or propane explosions, and radiation exposure, dealing with serious injuries and fatalities. His cases have included roof fall and methane or hydrocarbon explosions. He is also a member of the Navajo Nation Bar Association.
