Roger Sagal

Roger Sagal offers a wealth of experience to his law practice, having been admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1995. He began his career with the law firm of McGlinchey Stafford, focusing on litigation involving business disputes, civil rights claims, employment suits, insurance matters, and complex construction cases in the maritime industry. In 1998, he relocated to Colorado, gaining admission to the Colorado Bar the same year. He practiced with the Denver-based trial firm Netzorg McKeever, where he handled litigation related to long-term coal supply contracts, REITs, consumer protection disputes, and corporate creditor suits in the context of the Western Pacific Airlines bankruptcy.

In 2001, Roger moved to the Western Slope, joining the Tisdel Law Firm, where he became a shareholder in 2003. His practice has since encompassed a broad range of legal matters. Notably, he was part of a trial team that successfully defended a small mining company and its officers against fraud allegations by Barrick Goldstrike Mines. He has also secured significant ERISA benefits for children and their conservators from their late father's employer, and achieved a substantial settlement in a malpractice claim against a surveying company due to errors in the survey of patented mining claims.

Roger's expertise in drafting and negotiating complex business agreements is enhanced by his extensive litigation experience, enabling him to guide clients in structuring agreements that minimize future disputes. This skill also aids him in crafting creative settlements in litigation contexts. Additionally, he practices criminal defense across the Western Slope, representing clients charged with misdemeanors and felonies. He is particularly focused on 4th Amendment Search and Seizure issues, which frequently arise in criminal cases.
