About Chris Hoffman
Chris Hoffman, a seasoned trial attorney, is one of the founding partners of Make Right Law. His practice is primarily centered on serious personal injury, wrongful death, and fire damage claims due to negligently started wildfires.
As a second-generation trial lawyer, Chris's early exposure to the legal field began at his father's law firm, which was located on the first floor of what is now Make Right Law's Texas office. Growing up, he lived above the firm, gaining hands-on experience in various roles. Chris pursued higher education at the University of Texas, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy with Honors, followed by a law degree from the University of Texas Law School, graduating with Honors in 1997.
Chris started his legal career as a staff attorney for the Texas Department of Insurance, focusing on enforcement actions against non-compliant insurance companies. After a year, he returned to his father's firm, Hoffman, Sheffield & Sauseda. By 2001, he became a partner, and the firm was renamed Hoffman, Sheffield, Sauseda & Hoffman, PLLC.
Chris has held significant roles in numerous professional associations. He served as President of the Panhandle Trial Lawyers Association and was a Board Member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He is also an active member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, participating in the Auto/Truck Injury and Medical Malpractice groups.
In 2010, Chris obtained his Colorado license and relocated his family to Denver, where he established a second office for his firm. He practices law in both Texas and Colorado. In 2023, after his partners transitioned to Of Counsel roles, Chris collaborated with esteemed trial lawyer Joe Lovell to establish Make Right Law.
