Abel Alvarado

Abel Alvarado leads Alvarado Law Center, LLC, where he is celebrated for his commitment to legal excellence and leadership. With close to two decades in the legal profession, Mr. Alvarado is an esteemed expert in workers’ compensation. His legal journey began at Pepe J. Mendez & Assoc., P.C. in 1998, where he gained substantial experience in disability law, focusing on workers’ compensation and personal injury. He played a pivotal role in establishing AL&MT, LLC before founding his current practice, where he serves injured workers throughout Colorado.

In addition to his practice, Mr. Alvarado has contributed as an on-call Hearing Judge for the city and County of Denver's Department of Excise & Licensing. He earned his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1997. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Southern Colorado, completed in 1994.

Mr. Alvarado is actively involved with several professional organizations, including the Workers Compensation Education Association (W.C.E.A.), the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, and the Denver Bar Association. His affiliations extend to Professionals in Workers Compensation, the American Bar Association, and Denver’s Law Line 9, a volunteer public service group. A notable achievement in his career is the case Shafer Commercial Seating, Inc. v. Indus. Claim Appeals Office, 85 P.3d 619 (2003), which he won on the issue of permanent total disability and has been cited by the Colorado Supreme Court and in annotations to the 2014 Colorado Workers Compensation Act.
