Joan Reed Wilson

Joan Reed Wilson is a distinguished attorney practicing in Branford, Connecticut. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lehigh University in 1992 and graduated cum laude with a law degree from Boston University School of Law in 1997, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Law & Medicine.

Attorney Wilson is skilled in Estate Planning, Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, Conservatorships, Probate and Trust Administration, and Real Estate Closings. She is admitted to practice law in both Connecticut and California.

In her leadership roles, she is the Vice President of the CT Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and an active member of the Elder Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. She is accredited with the PLAN of CT for Pooled Trusts and with the Veteran’s Administration to assist with Aid & Attendance benefits. Additionally, she is part of the Agency on Aging’s CareLink Network.

Attorney Wilson was selected as one of 15 attorneys by the Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company (CATIC) to serve on its advisory committee and is trained in elder law mediation. Raised in Guilford, she now resides in Weathersfield with her husband, two daughters, and two step-children. She is also a member of the Middlesex County and Clinton Chambers of Commerce.
