John J Kennedy Jr

John J. Kennedy Jr. founded Kennedy, Johnson, Schwab & Roberge, P.C. in 1988 with David Johnson. Over his 42-year career, he has focused on representing injured clients in Connecticut, particularly in jury trials. His areas of expertise include automobile accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and product liability.

John's passion for trial work is complemented by his proficiency in mediation, arbitration, and negotiation, often serving as a mediator and arbitrator in medical malpractice and personal injury cases.

He is a distinguished member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, a prestigious group limited to 500 U.S. attorneys. His professional affiliations include the New Haven County Bar Association, where he was president from 1991 to 1992, the American Association for Justice, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, where he served as president from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, John is a member of ABOTA and a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

John is committed to legal education, frequently lecturing at programs hosted by the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and the New Haven County Bar Association. Since 2011, he has co-chaired the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.

He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the Eastern, Southern, and Northern districts of New York, as well as all Connecticut state courts.
