Robert J. Nicola

Robert J. Nicola serves as the President of Owens, Schine & Nicola, P.C., a position he has held since joining the firm in 1968. His legal expertise spans Personal Injury, Residential Real Estate, and Educational Law. Nicola earned his B.A. with Honors in History from Franklin & Marshall College in 1964, followed by a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1967.

After completing his military service, Nicola dedicated his entire career to the firm. His commitment to community service is evident through his roles as a former member and Chairman of the Easton Conservation Commission (1976-1980), Town legal counsel for Easton (1980-1983), and Chairman of the Easton Police Commission for nearly two decades. He currently serves as Town Attorney in Trumbull, Connecticut.

Nicola's involvement extends to numerous organizations, including past membership and board roles with the University of Bridgeport Board of Associates, the Easton Lions, the International Institute, and the Easton Historic Society. He has been a member of the St. Dimitrie Orthodox Church Counsel since 1968 and currently presides as its President. Additionally, he leads the Society Farsarotul, a cultural group with over 110 years of history.

An active participant in the legal community, Nicola is affiliated with the Bridgeport Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, American Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has been recognized as a Top Lawyer in Fairfield County for both personal injury and real estate.

As an AV-rated attorney, Nicola is admitted to practice in Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals 2nd Circuit, the United States Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court of Connecticut.
