James E. Ringold

James E. Ringold has been a dedicated litigator at Loughlin FitzGerald since 2013, focusing on personal injury cases, including those related to catastrophic injuries and wrongful death, within Connecticut's state and federal courts. He expertly handles cases involving motor vehicle accidents and premises liability, representing a diverse clientele that includes individuals, small businesses, municipalities, and utility companies.

James possesses comprehensive experience across all stages of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations to trial proceedings. His skills encompass drafting complaints, preparing and arguing pre-trial motions, conducting written discovery and depositions, negotiating settlements, and advocating in trials. Additionally, he has authored appellate briefs presented before the Connecticut Appellate Court, Connecticut Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Recognized as a Connecticut 'Rising Star' for five consecutive years (2019-2023), James's legal acumen is well acknowledged. Before his tenure at Loughlin FitzGerald, he contributed to the Inmates’ Legal Assistance Program in Hartford and interned with U.S. District Court Judge Vanessa Bryant. He also gained practical experience with the Connecticut Fund for the Environment.

James's academic achievements include graduating in the top ten of his class from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2013. During law school, he served as Assistant Managing Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and earned three CALI Awards for excellence in "Legal Profession," "Principles of Insurance," and "Media & the Law." He also completed the Energy & Environmental Law certificate program. Prior to law school, James graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut in 2010.
