Christopher P. Kriesen

Christopher P. Kriesen, founder and principal of the Kalon Law Firm, LLC, established the firm in 2017 to innovate legal practice and promote social good through entrepreneurship. He holds an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by Super Lawyers (2019-2020) and Best Lawyers (2020-2022).

Kriesen has extensive experience in both State and Federal Courts, having argued appeals before Connecticut’s Appellate and Supreme Courts. He has also contributed to preparing amicus briefs on groundbreaking legal issues before the Supreme Court. As a trained mediator, he completed the Advanced Mediation Workshop at Harvard Law School and the Quinnipiac School of Law Center on Dispute Resolution.

In the Hartford Superior Court, Kriesen serves as a Lawyer Trial Referee, Fact Finder, and Arbitrator. He founded the Kalon ADR Center, which donates 5% of its revenue to support graduates of the Hartford Youth Scholars.

Kriesen has furthered his education by completing the “Disruptive Strategy” course at Harvard Business School and an eight-class innovation program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also completed a six-class program in Strategic Decision Making and Risk Management at Stanford University's Center for Professional Development.

He has taught advocacy at the University of Connecticut School of Law and actively participates in legal seminars, mentoring law students and young lawyers. Kriesen resides in West Hartford with his wife.
