Elise Cousineau

Elise Cousineau grew up in a family of legal professionals, despite her parents' jest that she could pursue any career except law. Her journey into the legal field began with an interest in working with children. While attending UConn Law, she engaged with the Center for Children's Advocacy and contributed to the Connecticut Law Review. After graduating, Elise found her calling in family law, focusing on cases involving adults. She thrives on assisting clients as they navigate new life chapters and enjoys the challenge of crafting agreements that fit seamlessly together.

Before embarking on her legal education, Elise studied theatre at the University of Vermont, where she stage-managed a production of Cabaret with over fifty cast and crew members. This experience honed her skills in patience, problem-solving, and organization, which are invaluable in her legal practice. Outside of work, Elise enjoys reading, crosswords, knitting, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She is also a fan of reality TV, often sharing the latest drama with her two cats, Hades and Persephone.
