Steven L. Rubin

Steven L. Rubin is a seasoned legal professional based in Milford, Connecticut, recognized as a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. His journey into law began at an early age, driven by a deep-seated passion for advocacy and support. Known for his candid and direct approach, Steven is highly regarded by families for his ability to empathize with their experiences, having personally navigated similar challenges.

Steven's dedication to elder law was profoundly influenced by personal experiences during law school. When his mother was diagnosed with ALS and given a limited time to live, Steven found himself in the roles of caregiver, advocate, and provider. These experiences shaped his understanding and commitment to his clients, ensuring that he provides compassionate and effective legal guidance through difficult situations involving death, incapacity, disability, special needs, social security, asset protection, litigation, and taxes.

A lifelong resident of Connecticut, Steven was born in New Haven and completed his early education at Cheshire High School. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, where he was actively involved in student governance and the Jewish Student Association. His academic excellence earned him a place in Phi Alpha Phi, the national political science honor society.

Steven pursued his legal education at Widener University School of Law in Pennsylvania. There, he distinguished himself as a member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society and participated in Moot Court competitions. He was also a founding member of the Animal Interests Legal Society and served as Treasurer of the Environmental Law and Policy Society, reflecting his commitment to his values and ideals.
