Thomas Gay

Thomas E. Gay joined forces with Julianne E. Murray and Ronald D. Phillips, Jr. in September 2017 to form the Law Offices of Murray, Phillips & Gay. With a focus on Family Law, also known as Domestic Relations or Divorce Law, Mr. Gay has been serving clients across all three Delaware counties, with a significant presence in Sussex County.

Mr. Gay has been an influential voice in the legal community, contributing as a guest speaker at seminars such as “Fundamentals of Household Law,” “Custody Evaluations for the Private Practitioner,” and “Divorce Law 101—Obtaining the Best Settlement for Your Client in Delaware.” His expertise has earned him recognition in Delaware Today magazine as one of the top Family Law/Divorce attorneys in the state.

Admitted to the State of Maine Bar in 1992 and the Delaware Bar in 1994, Mr. Gay is also authorized to practice before the Delaware Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of the United States. His educational background includes a B.S. in Biology from the University of Delaware in 1987 and a J.D. from Widener University School of Law.

Mr. Gay's legal career began at Stumpf, Vickers & Sandy, P.A., where he honed his skills in Family Law representation, particularly in child custody cases. Known for his extensive trial experience in the Family Court of the State of Delaware, he is a dedicated and zealous advocate for his clients.
