Megan D. Halter

Megan D. Halter is a seasoned attorney in the field of education and special education law. She represents school districts, administrative personnel, teachers, staff, and third-party vendors. Her practice involves implementing preventive strategies to reduce litigation risks and liabilities for public school systems, colleges, universities, non-profit organizations, and charter schools.

Ms. Halter, alongside the Firm’s Special Education Group, conducts in-house training programs for school district employees. These initiatives ensure that clients remain informed about legal changes and education-related judicial requirements, helping to preempt potential legal issues.

While licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Megan also dedicates significant time to her home state of Maryland and neighboring Delaware. Her personal experience as a mother of a child with Autism fuels her passion for special education law. She collaborates with families to develop special needs and disability planning, including special needs trusts.
