Christopher J Smith

Christopher J Smith, a native of Akron, Ohio, completed his high school education at Archbishop Hoban High School. He earned his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Communications from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating with honors in the top 20% of his class. As a member of the university's football team, he contributed to their success as the 2003 NCAA Division III East Regional Champions, reaching the NCAA Division III Final Four.

Christopher pursued his legal education at St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, where he graduated cum laude in the top 15% of his class. During his time there, he received top student awards in Family Law and Criminal Procedure. He was also actively involved as a tutor for Torts Law and a member of the Moot Court team, earning the best overall competitor award in the school's moot court competition.

While at St. Thomas, Christopher became certified to practice law before the Third District Court of Appeal of Florida and gained practical experience in personal injury law with a Miami-based plaintiff's law firm. After passing the Florida bar in 2007, he joined Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice and Purtz, P.A., where he has practiced ever since, becoming a partner in 2011.

Christopher is a committed trial attorney focusing on personal injury suits. He holds memberships with the American Bar Association and the Florida Justice Association. He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Beyond his legal practice, Christopher is dedicated to community service. He mentors at-risk high school students through Take Stock in Children, assisting them in securing college scholarships. Additionally, he leads his firm's team in the American Heart Association's "Heart Walk," supporting heart disease research.
