Jeffrey R. Garvin

Jeffrey R. Garvin is a distinguished Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer with a career spanning over 40 years, dedicated to litigating catastrophic injury and death claims nationwide. His extensive trial experience includes cases involving aviation, automobile, and boat accidents, as well as medical and legal malpractice and defective products. Mr. Garvin has achieved numerous verdicts exceeding $1 million and has been a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum® since 2004.

Mr. Garvin's legal acumen was evident early in his career, earning the Best Trial Lawyer Award during law school. His peers have consistently recognized his excellence, leading to his inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® annually since 2005. He has been a dedicated member of the Board of Directors for the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers for 14 years, chairing numerous committees.

Mr. Garvin is a sought-after lecturer, having presented extensively to legal associations such as the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Trial Lawyers Associations of Georgia, South Carolina, and Maine. He co-authored "Trial Advocacy: The Official Handbook of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers" and has published numerous articles.

A 1973 graduate of the University of Florida, College of Law, Mr. Garvin is licensed to practice in Florida and North Carolina, and admitted to various federal and state courts across the country. He has been married to his wife, Susan, since 1975, and they have two children: Leland, who practices law with him, and Daryl, a teacher in Fort Myers. An avid pilot since 1975, Mr. Garvin holds single engine, multi-engine, and instrument ratings, and enjoys hobbies such as flying, fishing, and skiing.
