William Michael Cavanaugh

William M. Cavanaugh is a highly regarded attorney, Board Certified by The Florida Bar in U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005, he has consistently focused his practice on immigration law since 2006, representing clients nationwide.

Mr. Cavanaugh's extensive experience includes advocacy before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Executive Office for Immigration Review, Board of Immigration Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Departments of State and Labor. His legal education was completed at Nova Southeastern University Law Center, where he earned his J.D. in 2004.

Throughout his career, he has adeptly handled complex cases, defending non-citizens in removal proceedings, reopening removal orders, securing waivers of inadmissibility, and facilitating the naturalization of foreign nationals. Licensed by the Florida Bar, he is authorized to practice nationwide before Immigration Courts and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Mr. Cavanaugh is also admitted to the U.S. Southern District Court of Florida and the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. An active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, he has served as Co-chair of the USCIS West Palm Beach Field Office liaison committee for several years.
