Archibald Johns Thomas III

Archibald Johns Thomas III brings over 35 years of extensive litigation experience to his practice in Duval County, Florida. He is board certified by the Florida Bar in Labor and Employment law and served on the Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Certification Committee from 2002 to 2008. His expertise is further recognized by his listing in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and an AV rating, the highest rating awarded by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Thomas is a Master in the Chester Bedell Inns of Court. He contributes to the legal community as a faculty member at the Stetson University College of Law Employment Trial Skills Lawyers Program, where he mentors new lawyers in effective trial advocacy for employment matters. His leadership roles include past President and State Chapter Co-Chair of the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association and past President of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

He has also served on the Executive Council of the Labor and Employment Section of the Florida Bar, where he chaired the Current Legal Developments Committee and co-chaired the Individual Legal Rights Committee. His involvement extends to the grade review panel for the Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Board Certification Examination.

Mr. Thomas has authored numerous articles and delivered presentations on employment law at seminars and conferences organized by the National Employment Lawyers Association, The American Bar Association, The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, The Florida Bar, and other professional organizations. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1977, where he was a member of the Law Review, and clerked for the Honorable Paul Game, Jr., United States Magistrate Judge, Middle District.
