Jason Edward Havens

Jason E. Havens is a distinguished Partner at Holland & Knight LLP, working from the firm's Jacksonville and Tallahassee offices, and extending services to Ponte Vedra Beach, Destin, Santa Rosa Beach, and Rosemary Beach. He is adept in handling complex estate and charitable gift planning, both domestically and internationally, as well as probate and trust administration and litigation for high-net-worth individuals, families, and charitable organizations.

Mr. Havens is legally admitted to practice in Florida and Tennessee. His academic credentials include an LL.M. in International Taxation from Regent University, an LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami, a J.D. from the University of Tennessee, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Lipscomb University.

An active member of The Florida Bar, Mr. Havens contributes to numerous professional organizations. He frequently publishes insightful articles and commentary on business, estate, and tax planning in both national and local publications. Additionally, he has lectured at various esteemed programs, including the 37th annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning.

Mr. Havens holds the designation of Board Certified Specialist (B.C.S.) in Wills, Trusts and Estates Law by The Florida Bar and is a board-certified Estate Planning Law Specialist (EPLS) in Tennessee. He is also a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and was honored as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

In recognition of his leadership, Mr. Havens was appointed as a director of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils' Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc. in 2012 and was elected president in 2014.
