Mary Sherris

Mary Sherris was born in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida. She pursued her undergraduate studies in Political Science at the University of Florida and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the same institution. Her legal education was completed at the University of Akron, where she obtained her Juris Doctor and contributed to the Akron Law Review.

Ms. Sherris further honed her legal skills through the Trial Advocacy program at the National District Attorneys Association National Advocacy Center in Columbia, SC, and the ATLA’s Advanced Trial Advocacy program at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA. Since 1997, she has resided in Orlando, Florida, where she embarked on her legal career.

Her professional journey includes serving as an Assistant State Lawyer for Norman Wolfinger in Seminole County, Florida. During this time, she prosecuted a range of criminal cases from misdemeanors to serious felonies. In 2000, she received the Legal Counsel of The Year – Pride in Excellence Award from the Seminole County State Attorneys Office.

In her extensive career, Ms. Sherris has managed numerous claims related to personal injury, premises liability, sexual battery, negligent security, wrongful death, products liability, and medical malpractice. For the past decade, she has dedicated herself to private practice, advocating for justice on behalf of those affected.

Ms. Sherris is a licensed attorney with the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida. Her professional affiliations include the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the National Crime Victim Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. She is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Downtown Orlando Partnership, the Asian Chamber of Commerce, and the British American Chamber of Commerce.
