Leah Heather Mayersohn

Leah Heather Mayersohn, the founder and owner of the Mayersohn Law Group, is an accomplished attorney in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1991 with a B.A. in History, emphasizing Speech and Spanish. In 1994, she earned her J.D. from the Frederick G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida, where she served as Editor-In-Chief of the Florida Journal of International Law and Justice of Phi Alpha Delta.

Leah has been practicing law privately since 1999, following five years as an Assistant State Lawyer at the Broward County State Attorney's Office. During her tenure, she gained significant trial and litigation experience, serving as first chair in approximately one hundred jury trials and handling several hundred nonjury trials and about eighteen hundred appellate matters.

In addition to her legal practice, Leah is a long-standing agent of a major title insurance company and owns a separate title insurance agency. Her practice areas are diverse, including criminal defense, corporate criminal investigations, trial consulting, family law, real estate litigation, creditor bankruptcy work, complex commercial litigation, and compliance issues.

Leah was recognized as a Top Lawyer, and her firm as a Top Law Firm, by the South Florida Legal Guide in 2015. She is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, the United States Bankruptcy Courts for these districts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, as well as several federal district courts outside of Florida.
