Cesar Gavidia

Cesar Gavidia is a Partner in the Disability Income Division of Dell & Schaefer. With a career dedicated to disability law, Cesar has helped thousands of clients secure millions in short and long-term disability benefits. His practice focuses on representing claimants through all stages of individual or group (ERISA) long-term disability claims, including applications, ERISA appeals, ERISA litigation, ERISA-exempt disability claims, and lump-sum policy buyouts.

Cesar has represented disabled individuals across nearly every state, covering a wide range of professions such as teachers, surgeons, and corporate executives. He has litigated against all major disability insurance companies, gaining extensive knowledge of their claims handling processes. Few attorneys possess his level of experience in disability insurance litigation.

His interest in disability insurance law began during law school, where he first encountered the complexities of ERISA, the federal law governing most employer-sponsored long-term disability plans. Cesar started as a law clerk at Dell & Schaefer in 2003 and joined the firm’s disability income division upon graduating law school, dedicating his career to securing benefits for clients.

Cesar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Florida State University and a law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law. He is admitted to the State Bars of Florida and California and multiple federal district courts nationwide. Known for his aggressive advocacy, Cesar represents clients throughout the nation.
