About Stephanie Chantelle Coste
Stephanie Chantelle Coste was born and raised in Miami, Florida, to a Nicaraguan mother and Dominican father. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University, majoring in International Relations with a concentration in Political Science, and minoring in both Psychology and Economics. She earned her law degree from Fordham Law School in New York, where she represented clients detained in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, through the International Justice Clinic and served as secretary of the Latin American Law Student Association.
After law school, Stephanie practiced law in New York, focusing on defending pharmaceutical and insurance companies. Although she found the work engaging, she realized her passion lay in helping others, leading her to a career in education. For seven years, she taught in middle and high schools in high-needs communities in both New York and Miami. She also spent three years with the Miami Dade County Public School District, coaching teachers in underprivileged areas.
Returning to Miami reignited Stephanie's desire to practice law, this time focusing on serving the community. She joined a prestigious Miami law firm specializing in immigration law, assisting clients with family-based petitions, humanitarian deferred actions, asylums, U-Visas, and Cuban Adjustments. Eventually, Stephanie co-founded her own firm with partner Sophia Montz, continuing her dedication to helping immigrants achieve their dreams in the United States.
