Christopher John Shipley

Christopher John Shipley, born in Lakeland, Florida, on February 8, 1967, has a distinguished career in law and accounting. He was admitted to The Florida Bar on September 17, 2002 (Bar Number 0568831), and became a Florida Certified Public Accountant on June 11, 2002 (License Number AC34985). He is also admitted to practice in the Federal Bar, United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, since November 13, 2002, and the United States Tax Court since July 29, 2008.

Mr. Shipley earned his educational credentials from The Florida State University, obtaining a B.S. in Management in 1994, a B.S. in Accounting in 1999, an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship in 1996, and a J.D. in 2002. His military service includes time in the United States Army Reserve from 1988 to 1996, with active-duty service during the Persian Gulf War, from January to September 1991, in the Southwest Asia theater.

In addition to his professional commitments, Mr. Shipley has been actively involved in community service. He served on the City Council of Mount Dora, Florida, from November 2003 to December 2005, and has contributed to the Round Lake Elementary Charter Board. His dedication extends to the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 70, where he has been an Assistant Scoutmaster and Troop Committee member.

Mr. Shipley is married to Melody A. Shipley, née Cottingham, since January 29, 1994, and they have three sons and two daughters. He is also an approved attorney agent for Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc., and his CPA licensure is regulated by the State of Florida.
