Nancy Martin

Nancy J. Martin, Esq., originally from Syracuse, New York, has built a distinguished career in Acworth, Georgia, focusing on immigration and civil law. She began her academic journey with a BA in Education, emphasizing English as a Second Language, from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Four decades ago, she relocated to Georgia, where she has been committed to assisting others.

Nancy's legal career commenced as a paralegal with the Georgia Courtroom Services Migrant Farmworkers Division in Tifton, Georgia, where she gained expertise in administrative and immigration law. During this time, she was elected National Co-Chairperson of the WIC program, advocating for low-income, nutritionally at-risk populations. This role honed her compassion and understanding of both the litigation and emotional needs of her clients.

She furthered her legal experience at the law practice of S. George Handelsman, Esq. in Atlanta, handling immigration, civil practice, and appellate matters. Nancy earned her Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, where she was recognized by the Georgia Association For Women Lawyers as the “Most Outstanding Female Student.” She was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1987 and remains an active member.

Following her tenure with the Office of Sellers and Krause in Marietta, Georgia, she embarked on a solo practice, specializing in general civil practice and immigration law. Nancy is the owner of the Martin Law Firm, PC, and is registered with the Board of Immigration Appeals. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
