Scott Slappey

Scott Slappey serves as a partner at Slappey & Sadd, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been a dedicated member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1986, following his graduation from Georgia Southwestern College with a B.S. in 1983 and a law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University in 1986.

Scott's primary focus is on representing injured workers in workers' compensation claims. His career initially involved representing employers and insurers in such cases, but since 1990, he has devoted himself to advocating for injured workers against employers and insurance companies. He is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Workers’ Damages Claimant’s Lawyer’s Association.

Scott contributes to the legal community as a member of the Rules Committee for the Chairman’s Advisory Council of the State Board of Workers’ Recovery, where he helps formulate rules and regulations. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Workers’ Compensation Claimant’s Lawyers Association, a role he has held since 1991.

In addition to his practice, Scott has been involved with several committees, including the State Bar Communications Committee, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association Headquarters Committee, and the State Board of Workers’ Compensation’s Annual Seminar Committee.
