Walter Jospin

Walter Jospin is a highly experienced attorney with a focus on SEC enforcement, corporate governance, and internal investigations. From February 2015 to January 2018, he served as the Director of the Atlanta Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he led a team of over 110 professionals, including lawyers and compliance examiners. His jurisdiction covered Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and he was instrumental in overseeing enforcement and examination programs addressing financial fraud, disclosure failures, and insider trading. Earlier in his career, Walter was a staff attorney in the SEC's Division of Enforcement in Atlanta, where he managed significant cases, such as the first accounting case under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Before his SEC tenure, Walter was a partner at the international law firm Paul Hastings LLP, where he contributed to the firm's Policy and Unit Committees and led the Atlanta Office Corporate Department.
