Jonathan Smith

Jonathan J. Smith brings a wealth of experience to the Law Offices of Morrison & Hughes in Alpharetta, Georgia. After several years as an insurance defense legal counsel, Jonathan now dedicates his practice to assisting injured and aggrieved individuals in securing the benefits they are entitled to under Georgia law.

Jonathan's academic journey began at Dickinson College, where he earned a degree in History in 2000. He later pursued his J.D. at Georgia State University, serving as Vice President of the Moot Court Board. His accolades include the Best Overall Competitor award in the 2008 Moot Court Competition, alongside other awards and certifications. Jonathan was actively involved in several student organizations, participated in the Georgia State Low Income Taxpayer’s Clinic, and became a certified mediator.

Beyond his professional commitments, Jonathan contributes as a supplemental Board Member for Georgia Lawyer’s for the Homeless. In his leisure time, he enjoys golfing, playing tennis, and supporting Georgia-based sports teams such as the Atlanta Falcons, Braves, United, and Hawks. Jonathan resides in Brookhaven with his wife, children, and a variety of pets.
