Matthew Campbell Jordan

Matthew Campbell Jordan brings 15 years of litigation experience to his practice in Athens, Georgia. His legal career began as an Assistant District Counsel, where he prosecuted felony crimes. Afterward, he relocated to Atlanta and spent five years at two prominent defense firms, dealing with workers' financial recovery, trucking, premises liability, and general liability litigation.

In 2012, Matt decided to specialize exclusively in representing injured workers in Georgia. Through this focus, he has guided hundreds of workers through the complexities of the state's workers' settlement system. Additionally, Matt is a trusted mediator frequently engaged to resolve disputes and serves as a Municipal Court Judge pro tempore for Athens-Clarke County.

Matt's professional achievements include an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, recognition as a Super Lawyer, and a perfect 10.0 "Superb" rating by AVVO. He is a 2011 graduate of the Leadership Academy of the State Bar of Georgia.

Matt earned his juris doctor from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama, and his undergraduate degrees from The College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. He is admitted to the State Bars of Georgia and New York. During law school, Matt served as Chief Judge of the Trial Advocacy Board and was part of the National Trial Team. His accolades include the Papantonio Trial Advocacy Award, James O. Haley Scholarship, and Scholar of Merit Award for Advanced Trial Advocacy. In 2005, he was inducted into The Order of Barristers.

To better serve his clients, Matt divides his time between Atlanta and Athens. In his personal time, he enjoys outdoor activities, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his wife, Cathrine, and their rescue pets.
