R. Alan Cleveland

R. Alan Cleveland has dedicated his legal career to serving the residents of Gwinnett County. Growing up in the area, Alan developed a passion for becoming a trial lawyer at a young age. He pursued this ambition by enrolling at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta at the age of 33. During his studies, he had the opportunity to clerk for Georgia Supreme Court Justice Hugh Thompson, gaining invaluable experience. Alan graduated summa cum laude three years later.

Before attending law school, Alan completed his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia, where he earned a degree in journalism and public relations. This background has been instrumental in his ability to communicate effectively in the courtroom. After graduating, he began his legal career while also starting a family.
