He was part of the Master Teacher Corps of TeachNola, where he taught 8th grade English at a rural Title I school in New Orleans, a school formed after Hurricane Katrina.
Outside his professional life, Robert enjoys golf, attending concerts, and is an automobile enthusiast. He supports the Braves, Hawks, and Crimson Tide.
