Robert Goff

Robert Goff serves as Counsel at Meriwether & Tharp, LLC, where he focuses on family law. Since his admission to the Georgia Bar in 2015, Robert has been committed to client satisfaction in domestic litigation. He established his roots in Athens, Georgia, in 2012 and has been actively practicing in the Athens-Clarke County metro area, including Clarke, Oconee, Madison, and Oglethorpe, as well as Barrow, Jackson, and Walton Counties.

Robert earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2015. During his law school years, he interned with the Honorable David Sweat in the Superior Court of Athens-Clarke County, gaining valuable insight into domestic hearings. He began his career at Durden & Mills in 2013, a civil litigation firm with a focus on family law. Upon graduation, Robert transitioned to an Counsel role at Durden & Mills, assisting clients with domestic, probate, and estate planning matters.

Before law school, Robert completed his education at the University of Alabama, earning a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in Secondary Education. He was part of the Master Teacher Corps of TeachNola, where he taught 8th grade English at a rural Title I school in New Orleans, a school formed after Hurricane Katrina.

Outside his professional life, Robert enjoys golf, attending concerts, and is an automobile enthusiast. He supports the Braves, Hawks, and Crimson Tide.
