Richard E. Dolder

Richard E. Dolder is a partner at Slappey & Sadd, focusing on insurance coverage and insurance bad faith litigation. His practice centers on advocating for clients who have been unjustly denied coverage or treated unfairly by their insurers. Among his notable achievements, Rich secured an $8.25 million settlement for a hotel improperly denied coverage by its property insurer and negotiated a $1 million settlement for a small business whose liability insurer refused to defend them in court. Additionally, he has successfully compelled a life insurer to pay benefits to the rightful beneficiary and convinced a jury to award damages to a contractor denied coverage.

Rich also provides counsel on non-litigation insurance issues, assisting clients in expediting claim decisions and navigating intrusive examinations under oath. He offers honest evaluations when coverage is denied.

Before his legal career, Rich was an award-winning journalist. He graduated at the top of his class from the University of Florida College of Law in 1998.
