Thomas F. Martin

Thomas F. Martin, a prominent employment and overtime attorney based in Atlanta, Georgia, began his journey in Queens, New York. He played basketball at LaSalle Academy, competing against players like Lew Alcindor, and was recruited by the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. After graduating, he served in Vietnam on river patrol boats in the Mekong Delta.

Following his military service, Tom earned an MBA and embarked on a successful 28-year career as a senior executive in healthcare, gaining extensive experience in management and executive roles. Upon retiring from healthcare, he pursued a legal career, earning his degree from Case Western Reserve Law School.

Tom co-founded Martin & Martin, focusing on employment and wage & hour laws. He has represented hundreds of employees in cases involving unpaid overtime, illegal tip pools, and misclassification as independent contractors. His expertise extends to employment discrimination and retaliation matters.

In 2016, Tom and his partner, Kimberly Martin, achieved the second-highest sexual harassment verdict in Georgia for that year. He represents clients in litigation, arbitration, and before the DOL and EEOC. Additionally, Tom acts as "in-house counsel" for small businesses, providing guidance on contracts, employment, and wage & hour laws.
